Before I go off tonight, enjoy.. Sam Frost Joe Day - 2 The second goal was hit centrally, but with great power. Far too indecisive for the third, making a half-baked effort to come off his line to sweep up and Charles stole in. Looked shaky all night. George Williams - 3 One of the better performers in defence, but wasted a big chance to give Rovers a glimmer of hope on the verge of half time. Max Ehmer (c) - 2 A nightmare evening. The skipper couldn't contain Colby Bishop before he crossed for the opener, was skinned by Dion Charles for the second and let the ball bounce for the third. Alfie Kilgour - 2 He and his defensive partners allowed long balls to bounce far too often and the Gas got what they deserved. Luke Leahy - 2 Struggled in defence, struggled in attack. Josh Grant - 2 "Suicidal defending" was the verdict of Brett Ormerod in the commentator's position behind the press bench for one of Grant's indecisive moments. Overpowered throughout. Zain Westbrooke - 3 Better than most. Unlucky not to score, with Nathan Baxter repelling him with two fine saves. Luke McCormick - 2 Failed to make any meaningful impression in either direction. Erhun Oztumer - 2 Nearly anonymous and gave the ball away almost every time he touched it. Taken off at half time. Sam Nicholson - 6 Pounced on a mistake to score an equaliser. Perhaps the only man in the starting XI to escape without criticism. Brandon Hanlan - 3 Missed a clear chance to pull one back with head head on the verge of half time and he was hooked at the break. Bottled giving out 1's

We have several backroom staff that have stuck around through 3 manager's now and why hasn't tisdale brought in his own contact MAINLY Tilson? Tisdale saw fit to appoint a person to oversee "Football Operations" rather than a defensive coach. Supposedly allowing him to focus on getting the "tone" right for each match. What a load of b******S

Disappointing to be paying a wage to two players who won't even be in the squad.

Under Atkins I think. He left shortly after, unsurprisingly

Can't see another club willing to take him on loan, given the shape he is in.

Did you ever listen to him do a post match interview on Radio Bristol ..... That alone was enough for me not to want him, never mind the fact he had managed them. As others have said he has not exactly been in demand. I reckon most of us would not have that huge a problem with an ex-City manager or player if they were likely to improve us. They were happy to take one of our players recently so suggest works both ways. Anyway Tisdale a much better choice. I'd have loved Gary Johnson here in his prime. His ship has sailed these days mind, it's probably near Australia by now! Six points clear at the top of the National League right now. That ship might have turned and be on its way back

Charlton fans are none too happy it's been postponed. They feel the EFL should have enforced Rovers to play as Sunderland tonight are playing with 8 players out due to covid and the EFL told Burton their match against Hull in November had to go ahead despite players out with covid. Can understand it, although we lost a game earlier this season when our opponents were isolating. What's the justification the EFL are using for our game being off while Sunderland is on?

I predict a tough game, but 2-1 to the Gas 🤞 Not 5-5?

Someone may correct me on this, but I understand that the replay option is not available until 1am the day following the game.

"We’re playing a professional team that wants to win and get three points so let’s just start with that and keep it really simple"
Some profound words from the Gaffer's pre-match interview.

Don’t see it myself. I think the interviews are fine but nothing insightful as such. Keeps saying about being business like, which ties more in with his management work outside of football. I’m really hopeful of seeing a bit more from him and the identity he wants from the team, something we can all get behind. To be fair to the fella, one week and 3 games! Agree with this. Don't see what everyone else has seen with these interviews. They're fine, but nothing to get excited about. Remember Garner's early press interviews being highly praised. This soon wore off. If we go on a bad run, we will say the same about Tis.

Garner’s left the club and his decision to sign a thousand midfielders but only have 3 strikers is still screwing us over. Oztumer and Liddle never mentioned a power point 🧐 Are you saying these weren't BG signings?

Looks like 5 at the back with Leahy playing a central role? With Kilgour & Harries on the bench? I hope not.

I'm wondering about Cam Hargreaves, allowed to leave Exeter under Tisdale (while young admittedly). I would have liked to see him given more of an opportunity under BG and hopefully he impresses new manager.

Think we need to be relieved he wasn't appointed the first time around, when DC left. We'd be playing in L2 now, given where we were at the time.

That's a shame.
Have we ever won a league match with JVS in goal? We must have, but I can't remember any.

Seeing as Wellens is a Manc, and played for Salford and then managed Oldham, I’m sure he will be going all misty-eyed at returning home, ala Coughlan. Have to have a look at Swindon’s forum, I expect they have a view. I tried to look at Swindons Forum. When i arrived there was an army of Wiltshire Police ready to escort me to the general chat section. They waited on the main page for me to come back out again and escorted me all the way back to Gas chat. Fools. Post of the year.
