Can't see GC staying long with those attendances. Makes it all the more important for him that he get a results. The standard of football under him is appalling. appalling because ?

Dev Squad = reserve team. Nobody ever wanted one of those, did they ? to keep fringe players match sharp and help the young pros along - pointless !!

GC out

Despite not having any faith in GC I was of the opinion he should get 10 games but I would sack him today if it was my choice. We are awful! Both full backs yesterday got absolutely torn to shreds. I lost count of the amount of times they got in down the sides. Hare and Leahy are not L1 players. Whether they were brought in as backup or not, based on what I've seen so far they are very poor signings. We have the worst midfield in L1 and despite knowing this last season GC has failed to bring in a single midfielder. No pace. No creativity. 4 shots on target in 3 games. Lines and Sinclair released, Mensah out on loan. He's had all summer to address this problem and failed. Even an out of form Lines would walk into this team. This squad is L2 at best and with the exception of JCH the signings GC has made are simply not good enough. He seems clueless when it comes to tactics. I don't know what they do in training but there is no pattern to our play. I would say he's even more negative than Atkins and to say we are too gung-ho after failing to register a single shot on target is simply taking the water. Our attendances will drop below 6k if this carries on. Past glories didn't save DC and they shouldn't save GC either. I won't be angry if they give him until the end of the month but I wouldn't be sorry if they sacked him tomorrow. We could really do with a new manager while the transfer window is still open. Have you passed judgement already on Jaakkola, Hare, Davies, Little (played 1 game), Smith and Adebojeyo already ? 3 league games What a supporter you are !

thought it was a decent and honest assessment. here's to a better performance on Tues and 3pts ! Sorry, it was a car crash of an interview. He should have just came out and said he was disappointed with the performance and they let the large travelling contingent down. Anything else should have been said behind closed doors. Agreed, we need 3 points on Tuesday. eh ? He did say the first half was very disappointing - have a listen again.

JCH is overweight and didn't run enough (not ready to start games). very harsh to knock Upson and Nichols - they were not on the pitch during our very very lacklustre, ploddy first half. JCH is a lot slimmer this season than last. Do you think he moved about enough yesterday ? Thought he needed long breaks of no running just get to 65 mins - I'd say he's been rushed back - would start the 2 loanees until he can guarantee us 80 -90 mins at full speed.

GC out

Why has GC spent his budget on too many strikers when they all played yesterday? Nichols I think in his mind has proven to not be the answer to be a goal scorer. I think GC would get rid but He’s another year left on his contract and no one wants him. Smith was brought in as the answer to our scoring problems. That said Nichols can be good link player. Adebayjo was a replacement for Jakubiak and cover for JCH who was injured. Reilly left so that’s fine. The real problem is two fold. Firstly formations and tactics. We have the players to change to go away from the persistent 433 that doesn’t work to a 442 but GC refuses to play that way. He simply doesnt like wingers from the face of it. He also plays OC as a CAM and puts Ogogo wide of the diamond. It’s just all wrong. It’s so negative. Long ball is the answer to any attack. It’s one dimensional with no plan b. I don’t know what games GC watches that he comments on. Secondly, the midfield is unbalanced and weak. Upson not good enough and is in no way creative enough. We haven’t replaced a ball playing midfielder in Lines, who quite frankly would walk into this team right now. OC is having another indifferent start. Sercs has never been played in his rightful position either. He was dropped for L2 Northampton's game yesterday. Do you want GC to put a bid in for him ?

Honest report; Alfie did very well, the rest, the full backs, midfield, Nichols & Upson need to take a long hard look at themselves, they were all shocking. JCH & Tyler we’re feeding off scraps. very poor performance. JCH is overweight and didn't run enough (not ready to start games). very harsh to knock Upson and Nichols - they were not on the pitch during our very very lacklustre, ploddy first half.

thought it was a decent and honest assessment. here's to a better performance on Tues and 3pts ! The problem with the interview were the comments about being too "open" and "expansive". As if we were picked off on the break after waves of attack on the coventry goal with shots raining in from everywhere. But listening on the radio and reading stuff from people at the game that was not the case. Coughlan was in trouble when told we didnt have a shot on target,it clearly rattled him. Good news for upson though as he will be back in for bennett and maybe nichols will give us more defensive cover than tyler smith? you and many others have misconstrued what he meant - he meant expansive in the sense that JCH, Smith and Bennett all started in forward positions.

So disappointing that we did nothing first half so no surprises at them going 1 up. Finally, some passion and effort 2nd half but coventry the better team - better passing and MOVEMENT.

We have little or no attacking threat. The problems from last season have simply not been addressed. Let's not kid ourselves - apparently JCH was carrying a 'niggle' for the last few matches and was average at best. We managed to score 10 goals and win just 2 games in the last 10 matches with three of those goals coming against a very poor Bradford City team who we struggled against and we were lucky to beat. The manager has brought in another lightweight forward to add to Nichols & Reilly (& Mensah) why I wonder? I guess Deon Moore on a short term contract will take SP's (or AJ's) place on the bench or lead the attack if JCH's injury problems persist. With little or no creativity in midfield i feel that next season is not going to be pretty to watch - again!! Change the record ffs ! GCs L1 record with a crap team and attack apparently W 9 D 10 L 6 I'll leave it with you Blueridge as to guess where that put us in the table for those 25 games.

Inb4 someone suggests Nichols. yep him or Reilly likely to go out. JCH, Moore, Smith will be around and possibly one more new one in then somebody or 2 has to go out, you'd think.

The SC website lists the squads forthcoming fixtures but where do we find results and reports of the pre season games they have played? Also has young Widdrington been released? His picture is not shown on the development squad team details on the official website. if you click on this link you'll read that he is still with us www.paultonrovers.co.uk/teams/53123/match-centre/0-4583414
