Perhaps they’d rather compete at this than football?

That interview with TW in Feb saw him coming out fighting his corner, came across as indignant that recruitment was being questioned.
Clearly there was a fall out between TW and Tis who had highlight shortcomings of the squad and this had to be behind the dismissal.
Now Barton has repeatedly said the same as Tis plus a hell of a lot more about recruitment.
Surely this puts TW and Barton at loggerheads and also raises big questions over last summers recruitment policy, TW’s position from here on and then what happens with the whole Rovers DNA plan.
The DNA plan is ok to a point, but that starts in the development squad not the first team.
So where do we go from here in terms of policy? Looks like it could be TW v Barton.

If TW really believes in this squad he was so instrumental in sourcing/building, then he should caretaker manage to the end of the season. He seems the best person to get out of these players what he saw in them to bring them here. Time to show the courage of his convictions. Why put that on the line when he doesn't want the job anyway and has just got a very impressive result that demonstrates a point proven. Why? The club and it's needs comes first

The op is just a ridiculous comparison.
You’ve got Garners stats with the squad Garner built
Then Tisdale’s stats with...the squad Garner built!!
You can only compare the two managers if Tisdale had a summer window, a pre season and the opportunity to build his own team. Only then can you examine Tisdale’s work and performance as a manager.
Essentially Tisdale had a poisoned chalice. I suggest that it will be more relevant to compare Tisdale with whoever takes over next, because that person will be in the same boat.

You have to say Saturday is an absolutely massive game. Both us and Swindon are level on points but we have 2 games in hand. Win and our chances of finishing above Swindon are very high. Lose and I will be fully expecting relegation. So it'll probably be a draw lol. Every Swindon fan I have spoken with is saying how sh** they are. Every game is a massive game

Tisdale inherited a poisoned chalice. That squad was built by Garner and sanctioned by the board and Mr 100%. The squad was and still is badly balanced, lacks senior pros and as Tisdale rightly said last night lacks any experienced striker. The January window is notorious for being difficult to find clubs prepared to let good players go, particularly strikers, unlike the summer when contracts are up and there is more movement.
Tisdale on reflection didn't stand much chance, but had the balls to give it a go.
So on Sat, let's see what Mr 100% can do with a squad he has been significantly responsible for. It will be an interesting watch. Will he still be Mr 100% come 5pm? Unless he can pull rabbits from hats, which Tisdale admitted was beyond his capabilities, then he will become Mr 50%.
This is an absolute mess.
League 2 next season.

You want to slaughter a keeper?? Bloody cheek And you point is? I guess I could have slagged off the centre half’s and we could put you in there - but let’s not go there shall we You know so little about goalkeeping you’d probably put the gloves on the wrong hands...
