I think it's going to be either Accy or Wimbledon. I agree and hope it is Accrington Stanley. They are losing a couple of key player's will have the smallest budget in the league and would be favourites to take one of the relagation spots. I think league two could be a very tough league next season and I am very glad we are not in it!

It's no secret that Matty Taylors best return of goals this season came after Gaffney arrived. As others have said he brings so much more than goals.
Moving onto next season, I fancy he could be our top scorer and could lead the line like Taylor has this year. Let's hope he puts real fear in league one defences.

Hi all, Sheffield Wednesday fan here in peace. Just curious to see how Chris Lines has been doing since he joined you from Bury. Was always a fan on his when he played for us, but got injured then never really found his form, thought he could have a real done a job for a side in L1 but seems to have dropped off the radar for a bit. He was excellent in our 11/12 season from L1, remember him getting 13 assists that year looked a real quality player. How has he been playing? From what i remember was very good technically and on the ball, but just lacked that work rate to cut it in the Championship, didn't quite score enough too. Either way hope you make it up this season, big club belong back in the higher tiers of football league! Ta. Also worth noting that when we win promotion he will be the first Rovers player ever to play in Three promoted side's. Despite any other comments on this thread that makes him a proven winner.

Red shirt, white shorts, red socks has always been the dullest kit in the league. Something about it is just carp. The same combo but in blue, a la Everton, looks so much better. Red and white stripes and white or black shorts are OK, as is Arsenal's kit. But the Ted design is rubbish. I'm not being biased. Probably. What is interesting about new kit and the hash tags is this classic brand re-centring #noidentity #gobristolsport #plasticfans #embarrassingbristolsince1982

Following on from last seasons award the Rovers groundsman has finished runner up in the football league awards for league two. See OS. 1st Northampton 2nd Rovers 3rd Oxford. Must say it is a pleasure to turn up and watch games at the Mem on such a good surface. Well done to all concerned. Brilliant season pitch wise. Looks as good today as it did first day of the season. Congratulations to all those involved I find it amazing how good the pitch became after the rugby left.

Yes not had a season ticket since 2001 and only did about five home game's a season but I will be buying two season tickets next week. Out of interest Outsidehitter30 what are your reasons for buying a ST ? I will try to answer you again as last time I managed to attach to the wrong reply My response is: I have a Seven year old who is buying into the football and loving it. Also I think we will sell out on a regular basis and I want to be sure that we are part of it.

Oh gawd I assume they realise you can't guarantee success in football!!
Sounds like the stands might sell out? Over 1,420 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the North Terrace. (@1700 on 11/04/16 ) Over 620 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the East Terrace. (@1700 on 11/04/16 ) Over 510 supporters have bought Season Tickets for the West Enclosure. (@1700 on 11/04/16 ) Stand seats are at a premium for the 2016/17 season
Also only 1,100 tickets left for the Yeovil game so that looks likely to be sell out, or v. close to one. He just got fed up of going to Everton and wanted a game to watch reasonably local(Cheltenham) Yes not had a season ticket since 2001 and only did about five home game's a season but I will be buying two season tickets next week.

Everyone could slip up hit bad form and 2nd and third might limp over the line or we could win 5 and miss out.Lots of football to be played yet. The only that could happen is for Plymouth or Accrington to also win all 5 and draw the another game whilst we lose plus Oxford to also win also 5 games or there be a combination of those results, I think it's safe to assume that won't happen! Hmmm - let me think 7th bottom going into the last game of the season. How did did that go again? I assume nothing!

This is a question about VAT. New build is excluded (mostly) from VAT. Refirbishment / Extension is not. Also, some of the VAT will be at 20% & some will be at 5%. The question is the tipping point of the additional cost? To put the upper tier on from the beginning or in the future?
This amounts to the detail of the financeing plan that put is being put in place.
Just as a point of clarity The works at Ashton Gate are being promoted to their supporters (if read any of the press relesese's) as a 'New' stadium. This is purely sales pitch The 'new' stadium in BS3 is classed as a refirbishment and subject to VAT. Their would be a Financing plan put in place too for AG even if just amounted to writing off X amount of personal tax in X year.
UWE will be a new build & not subject to VAT. IE you get a lot more bang for your buck with new a build.

As I understand it, the FA could not impose a points deduction, it has to be the League, who's competition it is. The FA did not forward its findings to the League who had they known at the time would have been able to possibly deduct points immediately if they felt that was right. It's unlikely that we will be reinstated, but I believe the FA and the League have cases to answer, and must be potentially liable to the costs of our relegation. This could get mighty messy. As for people saying we could then be deducted points for pitch invasions, rovers could reasonably argue that these were caused because of tensions created by the FA and League not disclosing to each other what had gone on with Wycombe. Then of course relegate Wolves for 5 pitch invasions in one match. Spot on Gasincider. WWFC & FA have a case to answer. That is all. Who is right time will tell. BRFC totally right to issue proceedings tomorrow. Question is to Who?

I was Missing the TRASH thread after we won that case.
Finnish glad to have you back in your element! Good Work So Far:
As I See it In Summary:
A) WWFC Broke rules on Transfer in 2010 - 10k fine. Job Done B) WWFC did not declare profit from sell-on clause THIS Season. (1.15m)? They have a case to Answer? C) WWFC have three players on third party contracts THIS Season. They have a case to Answer? D) WWFC by NOT Declaring sell-on clause have breached FFFP Rules. They have a case to Answer? E) FA Have implemented fine against WWFC from breach of third party Rules in one case what about the other three? They have a case to Answer? F) FA have not followed there own procedures & protocol regarding 3rd party notifications & rule breaks. They have a case to Answer? G) Why have the FA not followed the president by previous cases ie (Teviz / West Ham)? They have a case to Answer? H) Why have FA not implemented a transfer embargo on WWFC when they discovered breach of Rules set out in (A) above. They have a case to Answer?
Rovers are right to pursue this. They may get re-instated. They may get compensation. They may get nothing.
Nothing to lose here.
Thinking about it, I now think the THREAT of an Injunction against the fixtures being released is a card we are likely to see played out in court.

Posted simular in another thread.
At this level I think he could be that 30+ goal striker we have been looking for. Lacks confidence but that could be found when he scores a few goals & he will at this level.

1) We will win more games than we lose.
2) For the first time since 1980 a planning application for a stadium that we have submitted will turn into a construction project.
3)We win the our first cup comp since the Watney Cup in 1973.

Intersting it did't actually print my comments. Will have to do some leaning on the fine details of this forurm.
What i actually said was: from the post above I like this comment.
"Sh1!heads will be banned and their email addresses and I P addresses will be published. Sh1!heads are wankers."
Sh1!heads posting on the OF was beginning to become a problem. Some who were honest about what they were & their debates were Okay. Brislington Red as an example. But those that hid their ID & their intentions should have their Email Address & IP address published.

I had no real reason to not use the IF, but the way I felt with us going non-league, and the OF going off-line it just made me feel so down. I think this means that a fresh start, new beginnings are the way forward.... we can still have a little bit of hope and a massive amount of fun.... I've got a really good feeling about this forum I will promise you a few things. ALL Rovers talk will be allowed. Everyone will be valued and respected. It will be run by the FANS, by us. If you want something you will get a fair shot. If oyhers want it too, you will get it. No posts will be unfairly moderated. You want to say it? Say it. Sh1!heads will be banned and their email addresses and I P addresses will be published. Sh1!heads are wankers. If JTS takes up my offer, the FFS will reign free and independent here in its new home. Those are the rules. Mods will be added as demand increases. We dont need the OF. We just need eaxh other.
