Ah yes, thanks for the reminder.. I need to e-mail Rovers to find out why that was. When I arrived at the Fanzone there was a long queue to the ticket office. Heard rumours that people's cards weren't working at the turnstiles so they were being redirected to the ticket office to get etickets printed. I assumed these were the people that had received etickets even though they had season cards (and I had not received an e-ticket). So I joined the queue at the turnstiles right at the last moment. Then my card was flashing red when I dabbed it. Fortunately the turnstile operator just overrode it with a white master keycard to get me in - presumably if it wasn't so busy & close to kick off he would have sent me to the ticket office too! (some people I was in the queue with were saying they had spent 45 mins in the queue to the ticket office to get e-tickets printed - and I don't think they had been e-mailed them in advance either!) I have had a response to my e-mail. They apologised and said that they had tested thoroughly before the game and everything was looking positive. The access control company had confirmed the cards were all reactivated and so they were confident things would work as expected. They are in the process of an internal investigation to identify the root cause and they will communicate the next steps before Oxford (h) Did they say how they tested it? All they would have needed to do is say that season ticket holders could get in free against Stoke and we could have tested our season ticket cards. It’s really not difficult, although they seem to have made it that way.

[breas] It was Sunderland players who damaged the dressing room and ceiling after their 3 1 defeat night Kenny Hibbitt had his leg broken by a Sunderland player Wasn’t it 4-0? (Might be my memory fading after 30+ years). Definitely 4-0

Gracie Fields, Cyril Smith, Lisa Stansfield .......your boys took one hell of a beating! I don’t think that you should be mentioning Cyril Smith and boys in the same sentence.

Let’s be honest here, it was clearly a mistake by the club because they simply didn’t know about the shirt being retired, that’s the problem with nobody at the club having a clue about anything prior to 2016. The fact they didn’t announce this until after some people on social media had questioned why he had the shirt in the team graphic says to me they made a mistake with no malice intended The real big question everyone should be asking is why they find it acceptable to drag the supporters club rep out the stand at Sutton and quickly have a photo with the player and come up with some fantasy bullshit rather than holding their hands up and saying “we didn’t know about this and next season it’ll go back to normal” then again it’s not the first time that this board have made a stupid lie up when under pressure rather than being honest. So are you saying that the Supporters Club Rep was economical with the truth?

I don’t get the logic behind the decision.
Are they saying that the fans aren’t the 12th man for the rest of the season?

Trevor Tainton went to Hengrove.Didn't know Peter Aitken played for the Dark side. I believe that at the time Peter Aitken was the only player to have captained both Bristol teams.

I’m sure I watched his debut for us. A hat trick at home in 4.1 win over Blackburn Rovers? Fairly sure the following week was that game at Spurs Exactly that. I was at both games.

Think he’s still living in Portishead. Yep, see him about quite often. Same here, he always stops for a chat and is very proud of his children and grandchildren who are all involved in sport.

I don't know what other fans think, but what I want from my beloved team is excitement. I watched the first half of Man Utd v Wolves yesterday with the new 47m man. I couldn't face watching the second half. Sterile boring and all technically gifted. Perfect stadium and pitch. Personally I would have been happier stood on the line watching a less technically gifted game in Eastville Park that had some emotion to it. The phrase 'matchday experience' is banded around these days, I think they mean,'What type of sausage roll would you prefer? Personally I want my matchday experience in my head. I want to be excited, I will be disappointed, angry, sad too. I want to feel the highs and lows. I want to walk out the ground knowing my emotions have been stirred. I want to see the players showing and feeling those emotions too and a connection between us and them on that level. If the future is dull perfection then it's not for me although after a lifetime of support I can't see I will ever stop. A new stadium won't be a satisfactory substitute for emotions for me. I don't know if others share my thoughts? Post of the year. Keep the faith.

They are lucky to be in the hat. Shrewsbury were very impressive second half and deserved to go through. No wins in 7 now I believe? 5 losses, a draw & a win. Wonderful stuff. Are you Diane Abbott?

Surely the big issue is how poor we've been at home since around January 2018, if you just followed us away from home I sense you'd look forward to watching Rovers far more than just watching us at home, as the vast majority of fans obviously do. Repeat yesterday super show at the Mem and the fans would soon come back/stop moaning. We're 5th in the current form table since GC took over but only had 8 home wins. Good stats Topper. Would be interesting to see the form table for the previous 12 months under DC.

What exactly are you getting such pleasure from? Bit of an odd comment unless coming from a WUM? He’s getting his information from Coleen Rooney!

Excellent speech from his brother excellent,God bless Brian UTG Thought his brother and the two chaps who spoke were as you say excellent, touching and humorous. As one of the people that spoke I thank you very much. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Brian was a great friend who will be massively missed by family and friends. Going to Rovers will never be the same again without Brian. UTG.

Probably a dumb question but I assume it doesn't cost if you are in fact a civil servant (and therefore, in theory, a member)? You have to be a member of the CSSC and pay a monthly fee.

Time for the Cider Twins to unmask now Keep up son. I declared who I am a very long time ago. Have never kept it a secret, even showed a photo of myself at Coney Island. I'm sure Topper can help you. You are Northampton Dave and I claim my £5!
