Stood in the terraces watching the players warm up and wondering who’s last warm up at the mem in a rovers shirt is their last? Moore Bola J Clarke Telford Sweeney Broom Gaffney For me Telford/Sweeney would be great to sign And I would give rory another 1 year deal Moore/Clarke/broom to go definitely And invest wisely in the summer for a real Hopefully none of these will be here next season.

It's great we have an u23 sides, obviously we were missing that. I don't know how many time it has to be said, but until a new stadium is delivered we are really just back to where to were 10 years ago with slightly wealthier owners. We must move into a better home, otherwise I fear we have hit the ceiling and will be nothing more than a mid table league 1 side at best. This is the cruxt of the matter, Singupgas has got it spot on. Without a new stadium that's all we'll ever be.

I see Baghdadi and Dunnwald on loan at WSM have been recalled due to our injury crisis. Dunwald has a bit of an attitude problem and I would be surprised to see him involved again and then released. Was he the guy we signed from Newport County ?

Lisbon Gas -- Exactly as I see it. You should be the manager. Keep Smith the other goalie as well. Depending on the 3 to 4 new faces I reckon we will be challenging in the play off places next season.

New striker alongside Ellis is essential, Gaffney has been found wanting, poor touch, wins, little in the air and slows each attack down. Nicholls is a neat footballer and and I still think will score goals. Telford 50/50 not convinced he is worth a major fee, can score goals from the bench but he is not a starter Defensively Brown has another season but he now needs tougher competion. Next season may be his last James Clarke and Leadbetter ideally would be given the remaining games this season to prove themselves but injuries prevent this so I would keep both, Leadbetter adds real pace in defence and on form adds quality in attack, Clarke is generally reliable. Craig is solid and proving to be a good signing . On the other hand a good offer for Tom and I would take the money and strengthen elsewhere, I am not sure we have missed him when absent, he has at times been error prone and Broadbent has provided excellent cover and now deserves to start. Partington 'a good buy and adds height to a short team. Midfield. No question that Lines remains our best ballplayer, one bad immature mistake doesn't change the fact he has had a very good season and has at least two seasons left. Secombe/Bennett first season they have done very well but I believe next season they will get better. Moore & Sinclair - Have been squad players at best and we should be looking to improve on both. They both remain in the same position as last season 50/50 and fail to convince that they are worthy of a first team place. How long do we persevere? Ollie Clarke- Disappointing this season but proved last season that he can cut it at this level and I would hold onto him. Burn, Bola and Sweeney release. Slocombe- good distribution and solid enough. This summer I hope to see 3 or 4 new faces capable of challenging hard for first team places, with a couple of development squad players who have done well out on loan added to the first team squad as an inspiration.

I've really no wish to become a Premiership club but I bloody hope before I die I will see my team in the second division again. Hopefully in a new ground as well.

I think we should forget what's gone on in the past. It seems now we have only two choices.
1. Knock the bloody Mem down and start again
2. Look for a new site.
End of.

I have noticed for a while now that we have quite a few idiots in our fanbase. If I'm being honest I like part of the stupidity sometimes as it adds to the experience. There is a line though and I don't support violence or the so called fans that only go to goad opposition etc. You've noticed for a while now -- This has been going on since the late 1960's. You have probably only noticed due to the fact it only happens occasionally now. In the 70's it was at every away game. I know this does not make it right -- But it happens all through football. In fact throughout society. And don't think the stewards are angels ( or police ) either. In fact some of the stewards are best mates with these so called hard men. Really not sure what the answer is

Just to show you aren't being picked on by peterparker and also because you never answered his question.... Rescue us from what? From people who on arrival said the club had to leave the Mem, then changed their mind and now say that the Mem being redeveloped is the plan B. No it isn't, they know it and those who can think for themselves know it. The only hope of this club becoming viable at championship level is to move to a purpose built stadium elsewhere. They also know it, as do those of us who can think for themselves. Cant believe how many people sleep walk into oblivion. There is no doubt a training ground is important to the club, but it's being used as a sop because the real requirement to move this club forward is a new stadium. You've hit the nail on the head. The bloody Mem is an embarrassment.

I'm sorry but Gaffney is not good enough for Third div football. He tries his hardest but simply doesn't have the pace or skill to help win games.A must for a move this summer.

The Hillsborough tragedy changed football in this country over night. I know it wasn’t Down to hooligans it was down to bad policing and organising but the way the police worked at football was completely revamped and with the cages gone too it all became safer. A lot of people died that day and in a way the atmosphere at matches died a little bit too. I think a lot of people who were up for a scrap at football re thought what it was actually all about and things calmed down quite a bit very quickly. I must admit I used to love the hostile atmosphere as a young kid in the 80s though even though it was frightening at times as a 7 - 8 year old kid , seeing blokes getting their heads kicked in. I’m glad it has changed though, I’ve got a four year old daughter who I’ve taken to a couple of games and she loves it. She wouldn’t have loved the 80s The 80's were nothing compared to the 70's.

Looks like sinclair and ollie clarke are unfit so a great chance for luke russe who played in the west ham home defeat. Must admit im a bit shocked that smith has been dropped. Happy Smith dropped - about time ! Hopefully Slocombe can cement his place for the rest of the season. Nothing wrong with Smith.

Can you buy over phone? I wanna go but can’t get to Mem with voucher before Saturday Yes you can, but it is complicated. You have to phone up and pay - they reserve the tickets in your name BUT they won't release the tickets to you until you POST the appropriate voucher to them (Voucher K, I think). You also have to send them a self addressed and stamped envelope too. When they receive your voucher, they send you the tickets in the SAE envelop that you have sent them. Alternatively you can just take a risk that there will be some left in the shop on Saturday. Not complicated at all. I simply rang booked my ticket paid on line ( no sending stamped self addressed envelope either ). I just sent my voucher and received said ticket in two days.

Having had a quick look at the otib whilst taking a dump. They seem to be tucking into the current state our stadium. Yawnnnn. They are boring. Anyway, one particular user claims a stadium needs to be all seater after 3 years in the championship. Well Burton better sort themselves out if they stay up, i guess the sh** don't go to many away games so wouldn't know. Some of us love the mem, can't stand being forced to sit down, i wanna jump around n have a laugh I love standing but realise if we are to progress as a club we have to have a new stadium. The Mem is not fit for purpose and never will be.

Feels weird that Hylton would turn us down. And having declared he wants: 2 wingers, a DM and a CB further odd. Muzzy Carayol could have a been a possibility as he didn't figure again today in the Forest first team squad. It was him

Nope im just not available 24/7 to post on here, i cant take a phone into work and use it for ten mins on my lunch break and then inbetween family life in the evening. I took great annoyance to a number of your threads such as a new beginning, part 2, claims the old board wanted back etc etc that were carefully typed at points where the club was struggling with Nothing at all to back it up and where nothing you suggested actually happened. It felt like intentional actions to try and cause trouble and stir the sh**. There has never been anything to suggest you have any connections to a club that is a million miles away from the Toni Watola gossip down the pub era. Im sorry i was rude it just gets my goat the way you trundle out these points as being factual when they very very rarely end up being true. As if DC would tell you what offers had been made. Also when you have been pushed on some of your comments in the past you have really backtracked on your claims. Right back to work DC has never told me anything. New Beginning part two is about a different potential buyer, not Higgs and Co, which would be a joke. What it felt like to you is irrelevant. Show me the back tracking. I only post what I get from trusted sources, after being given all clear to post them. And fairplay to you Gasincider -- Without your postings some of us would be none the wiser. Keep it up.

What a fantastic post - well done and well said. Great post if your only ambition in life is to watch Rovers as a lower league club. The truth is Rovers don't "always have their fans" as even recent history shows there's around 2,000/3,000 fans who find something better to do on a match day when we hit hard times. Rovers had a golden opportunity to become a Championship club, something none of us have ever witnessed, now it seems likely that chance has gone, possibly for good in a lot of our life times. But quite a few of us have witnessed second tier football I would guess.
