I get what he saying but the negative feeling is down to the board not delivering the stadium and training ground and also not investing the type of cash into the playing side that many hoped for when they took over.Wael was happy to milk it up down Glos rd due to the genius of DC,however thus far they have done nothing else in order to grow our club and have gone hiding when sh** gets tough.Thats where the negative feeling comes from.
GC did a fine job last year, but with respect to him he has been here 1 year and doesnt feel the pain of the lies, let downs that we have had over the years. He is also replacing our greatest manager of all time and one where ( apart from the last 6 months) under DC we played free flowing football and had success.
Its hard for us to get footy woodies over loaning 20 years olds from Barnsley etc.. given the style of play we played under GC last season.

I believe it’ll be a throwback to 1990 home and away. Home - V Neck collar, all blue back and I hope to dear lord the sponsor is Thatchers, if nothing at all. White shorts, blue socks. Away - V neck collar, all white shirt with black trim. Black shorts, white socks. Sounds spot onto me!

Just a random question, but has any of your family or your friends ever play for the Gas? My uncle - Bernard Hall did in the 1960's..anyone else? BH had that awful injury . Handy cricketer too . How is he these days .utg To be honest that side of the family are not that close. But from what I know he is fine.

Thank god we kept the badge, would have been really upset if we changed it I agree.Im not just saying it as its our but I really think its one of the best in the whole of football.Didnt we win a award about ten years ago for it? I wouldnt be againt using the 90s blue and white quarters badge for this season if the kit is in fact based on the champions kit tho.

From the video I saw on Twitter the kit design looks like a remake of the 1990 champions one which will be mint given that its 30 years on from when we beat that lot down the road to the title.
It would be cool if a couple of members of the champions squad were wearing it in the reveal tonight.

Reilly has never had a run in the side like Tom has.If he had the same run as Nichols in the 1st team then he would get 10 goals at least in a season. Is that good enough for us,maybe not but still. Tom is an interesting one tho.As a goalscorer he has failed at this club majorly. No way it can be argued, its fact.He has been totally sh**.But his overall play at times has been good and has added to us at times. It will be a joke if Tom Nichols starts a 3rd season with us as the main striker after Clarke Harris regardless of our budget. Trouble us with Reilly that he has little else to his game. Nichols offer us more overall. Agreed but both were simply signed to score goals. One cant...like at all.And one has the potential to be a bang on AVG L1 goal scorer. We may have three tents that we call- 😂😂 stands, but I hope with our fanbase that we are aiming for more in L1 then hoping that these two will save us.

Get rid of Reilly and Nichols as far as I am concerned! Why keep them, they are supposed to be strikers and have failed totally on that front. For me we needed creative midfielders/wingers much more than two loan strikers.Happy to give the pair a chance tho,not that Ive got a choice tbf.

I wouldn't take much notice of the opinions of some guy who knows less about Rovers than any of us. We know we had an excellent keeper last season. Neither of the new keepers look as good as Bonham. We know our right back was arguably our player of the year last season. Little is a good signing and may be improvement on JC but defensively I'm not so sure. We know Lockyer was one of the best CB in L1. Davies is not up to that standard. We know Holmes-Dennis when he came into the team looked a class above. Unfortunately we don't know when we'll next see him in a Rovers shirt. We know that although not regular starters, Lines and Sinclair were decent players to have in the squad. They haven't been replaced and we lack pace in the centre of midfield. We know we were lacking in wide areass. This hasn't been addressed with not a single new winger signed this summer. We know with the exception of JCH our strikers did not deliver enough goals. We've only signed a young lad on loan who managed just 2 goals in 14 appearances form a good Doncaster side, and they were both on his debut. Add to this some of our better players like Rodman (32) and Criag (34) could start showing their age and may not be as good as last season. The only positive I can see is that we will hopefully have JCH for the whole season and not just the last 3-4 months. If we lost JCH I think this squad would finish bottom. I fail to see how our squad is better than last season. In my opinion it looks significantly weaker. I agree with this.I wont speak of the new signings yet as Ive not seen them but from whats left of last years squad its back on avg or poor one for L1 apart from JCH and Holmes -Dennis. Im really worried about the lack of creative players we have in our squad.

There seems little point in including THD as he could be out for months, so for the Blackpool game I'd go: Jaakola Little Davies Craig Leahy Upson OC Ogogo Sercs JCH Nichols Although it's fairly depressing that ignoring the defence, we're having to start with the same shot shy players we ended with last season. This feels about right .., Sadly I don’t think we will see THD play for a long time if at all. Not expecting JCH at Blackpool either ... Crying shame that GC has no money and is hamstrung by awful signings of last summer. Thankfully Bury & Bolton start on -12 .... as I have no idea where the attacking threat is coming from, teams will press us as their defences will have so little to do. Im very sad to say but we are attacking wise, very poor.Nothing of any note added and based on the players efforts over the past 2 years its going to be a goal shy season.Hate to be negative but if we stay up its a bonus.

Any improvements in Bristol cannot be claimed by the sh** city council, and what the f**k has the majority of your tirade got to do with the post from icegas ? Where have I claimed improvements in the city can be claimed by the sh** city council? Any improvements are in spite of the sh** city council who are good at delivering the square route of f**k all (although they cannot be criticised for not supporting us in any planning application we have ever made no matter how controversial or whatever the strength of opposition).
My tirade as you call it has everything to do with icegas's post who claims Bristol has become sh** in the last 20 years and that it is down to remoaners and lefties who are 2 of the 3 kinds of people he detests the most. Well the 3 kind of people I detest the most includes "righties" (who are equally as divisive as lefties) and "Brexshit loving xenophobes". Hope that helps.
never claimed Bristol has become sh** in the last 20 years due to remoaners or lefties...So stop spinning my words. Bristol is the most developed, rich city in the south outside of London.Rebuilding everywhere.Housing, shops etc..cant knock that.Apart from with the gas and for years with City.We dont have a new ground due to the those lib twats that now live where I grew up in horfield. My problem is most of it is for students. To rent is so expensive,to buy even harder. There is alot of money in this city but its in the pockets of people that were not born here but move here for a quality of life. Just for the record my political views are just right of center.Disagree that "righties" are equally as divisive as lefties and are "Brexshit loving xenophobes".The far right maybe. But at least with most on the right they will except your choice unlike the left with the brexit... - which has been pure disgrace!

Remoaners,Sh1!heads and other lefties from our once fine city... The 3 kinda people I dislike the most from here now.(The City remark is tounge in cheek btw) It is abit of a disgrace for whoever make this video that there were 3 City shirts, and a flag in that video yet not one Rovers shirt/remark or a Glos Cricket Shirt. The Rugby club is a brand of Bristol sport. Seeing this video makes me remember how sh** this city has become in the last 20 years. And thats nothing to do with those from Ashton.Complete bollox!! How sh** our city has become? Yes let’s go back to the days of the St Paul’s and Hartcliffe riots, the days when violence in the city centre every weekend was normal, the days when the harbour side was a derelict mess, the days when foreign residents were from Wales not Spain, or France or Poland. The days when there were about 6 pubs on the whole of Gloucester Rd and the top restaurant was the Sun Valley chip shop! Unfuckingbelivable that someone would think Bristol a better city then than now. But then there are plenty of people that hark back to the days of their youth of an insular, violent and xenophobic country and have voted for it to be that way again. I wish we could split the country in two and those that want to be stuck in a time warp can stay there and the rest of us can get on with being global and embracing of cultures other than our own and people that look and talk differently than us. Ok...was just my opinion. Im 37 years old and have seen changes in our city over the last 20 years that I dont like.Im not racist, xenophobic or any other nasty tag anyone wishes to tag me as.I just dont like not feeling that my home city is not the one I grew up in which I liked before..Im free to feel that way by the way!👍

I think the only positions we have strengthened are the full backs. The two goalkeepers don't look as good as our first choice last season who kept 33 clean sheets during his last 2 seasons. Our club captain international, who has made hundreds of appearances in the football league at the age of 24, replaced by a 27-year-old with a lack of pace and only managed less than 100 apps in the football league and only 19 apps in total at League One level. Last season we struggled to create and score goals and with only 11 days to our first league game, disappointingly that still hasn't been addressed. As things stand a season of struggle awaits in my opinion. The thing to bear in mind though is that the form of Coughlans side at the end of last season wasn’t actually that bad after we had strengthened the side with Ogogo and JCH, Coughlans league table had us much higher up than we actually finished. The football wasn’t great but we were picking up points after a dreadful first half of the season under DC. We’ve improved our fullbacks, all we need now is a few wingers/creative midfielders and I think we will surprise people next season. I would only be happy playing awlful/boring defensive football if we are up challenging near the top of the table or in the playoffs otherwise whats the point? I know peoples careers are on the line and its there jobs, but as a fan of this my club I want us to win and to do as well as we can within our means, but I also know that as I choose to pay for a product - which going to watch the gas is that I want to be entertained each week, or have a product on show that gives me hope! So far I dont see how any of the above can be with our signings so far.We need much more creative players to be able to aim for anything more than just staying up with what we've got thus far.

For me we are in abit of sh**e going into this season unless something changes.
Not a knock at GC as such, but we stayed up last year due to our good defence and JCH.The latter is still not proven and if he does prove his is this season (I think he will) then he will be sold in January.
Our defence is weaker then this time last year and we have not improved our attacking options in midfield. We have nothing apart from secs, and Rodman.Nither world beaters.Bennett is a over paid L1/L2 player.Could be very good in a good team as a luxury player, but not here right now.
We are going into a 2nd season hoping TN turns himself around.Dam madness, wateres me off to be fair.
If GC plays a defensive style and doesnt get results crowds will be below 8k- 7.5k as soon as.
I see a closer battle to stay up then last year and our fanbase needs and derserves more.

A Steve Lansdown production for Bristol City Council? Plenty of Teds in evidence but not a mention of us. Apparently the film was made when the Gas were playing away and they couldn't find any supporters.....
Shown at the Harbour Festival last weekend. Ridiculous. Remoaners,Sh1!heads and other lefties from our once fine city... Yeah I think it sums it all up pretty well. They probably had good intentions but unfortunately far right groups have a habit of latching onto things that aren't strictly their remit but might have people within it that sympathise with them. Far-right extremism is, in my opinion, by far the scariest minority group in the UK right now, not least because a large number of people might agree with parts of their ideology and share it around on social media etc. Spreads like wildfire. Football is a great tool for peace, but groups like this need to do more to distance themselves from the far-right movement. I agree with you.Without turning this thread into a huge row over views like one on here last week, your right. These far right morons jump on anything or person that talks about, or knocks a relgion/faith,or section of society.Take Tommy Robinsin for example. The media portrays him as being far right but the far right groups hate him as much as the muslims do for his work as he is not far right! The media prints blatant lies about him and brands him far right tho and then the average Joe on the street see's or reads this and doesnt look into what Tommy is really trying to do or expose. These lads have a good intent but the loons of the world, the racist scum of this country will be drawn to them even if they are not that way them selfs.
