Hopefully Nicholson and Evans will follow. I think they’re the only other permanent players we have that would be considered key and are out of contract this summer.
Other than that I think if we can sign a couple of good central defenders in the next window, the squad is already shaping up well for next year, no matter what league we are in. UTG!

I hope that the club don't give Scunthorpe loads of tickets for the game... scenario we need to win to go up, having loads of Scunthorpe fans is only going to help make it difficult. I can guarantee that no matter how many tickets we give them, they won’t bring loads of fans.

Got a weird feeling about Saturday. And not in a good way. Carlisle won 5 of their last 6? (including a win over Northampton and the loss was against Newport) Us without Eliot Anderson What could go wrong? Their other 4 wins were all against sides in the bottom 7. A bit of a purple patch maybe, but a nice run of fixtures and not extraordinary form when you delve a bit deeper.

The latest update on away ticket sales: @officialcufc 556 @tranmererovers 717 @officialpvfc 914 @officiallydale 722 It’s great that we now get to see how many tickets are sold for away games. Completely agree. Pete Weymouth is brilliant for updates like this and useful info on Twitter. And regularly seeing numbers like these is only going to encourage more fans to buy tickets as well. UTG!

On the face of it, yes Carlisle are in great form with 15 points from 6 games. However 4 of those 5 wins were against teams in the bottom 7.
Of course they’ve still got to win them and evidently they’ve turned a corner, but I’m wondering if it’s just been a good run of fixtures for them rather than them turning into world beaters overnight. Nothing for our boys to fear here. UTG!

Port vale away. Wonder if our man will put up coach travel and pack out the away end. Nearly 5k fans would make it a home game for us. I thought the same thing. A 2 hour(ish) trip from Bristol, 4 games to go at that point, potentially a huge game. And to top it off, it’s on Easter Monday with reports that this could be the hottest Easter ever in the U.K. With an away end that holds 5000, has there ever been a better occasion for a Gas invasion? UTG!

Guessing we sold out our allocation? Lots on social media looking tickets. It makes me laugh all the social media posts for tickets. It has been plastered all over that its all ticket for away fans and when they are going off sale. I get the odd person can't commit till closer to the date but it's endless posts. We had 100 left on Wednesday morning and went off sale at midday so near enough sold out. Some big away ends in the next few weeks with Port Vale and Tranmere to come. They’ll be big 6 pointers as well, hopefully everyone’s still as keen by then!

I’d be a little surprised if we didn’t sell out our allocation for this one given the current run of form. Given the importance of the game to both sides, I’m wondering if they regret giving the extra 400 allocation.

Another huge win! It’s a shame those teams above us didn’t drop points but I suppose I’m just getting greedy now.
No more Tuesday night games which is a shame from a supporter entertainment point of view but I’m sure the lads will appreciate only having one game a week, and will be ready for the rest inbetween.
Massive 6 pointer on saturday! UTG!

Congratulations to Billy - well deserved. How many players have been capped for Scotland whilst playing for Rovers? Not while playing for Rovers but Harry Kenneth was a Scottish International. 😁 Harry Kenneth? Was that the bloke Garry ate before signing for us?

Agree with the comments on Coutts, think he’s had a bit of a stinker tonight. Would’ve taken either him or Saunders off, who hasn’t had much service but has been very quiet.

Sorry but I just don’t see the issue here. As others have said, it’s a shirt number. I’m sure no disrespect is meant to anyone in giving this number to a player, wouldn’t make a difference to me if he was 12 or 112.

I’m optimistic given that until the last couple we’ve had a tough run of games and still picked up a good points tally over the last 10-12 games. The 2 games against Sutton and the other against Mansfield will be a real test of where we are going to finish as I think they are probably the in form teams in the league along with us.
Playoffs has definitely got to be the aim. UTG!

Belshaw 7 Did everything confidently, made a decent save for their 1st goal before they scored the rebound, could do nothing about the 2nd
Hoole 8 Very calm and assured on the ball, and solid defensively as well Connolly 6 A little shaky I thought but did ok Taylor 7 Won absolutely everything in the air, a couple of dodgy moments on the ground Grant 8 Great game bombing up and down the left hand side and a good finish, what on Earth did he get booked for?
Coutts 7 Just steady all round Finley 8 Same as above but better, more running and more creativity, looks a superb box to box midfielder, be surprised if there’s many better at this level
Thomas 8.5 MOTM Just edged MOTM for me over a couple of the others. He tried a few things that didn’t quite come off but looked very confident running at players and trying to get a shot off. Even put a shift in a few times working back as well. Think there’s a class player in there so hopefully he’ll go on a good run now Evans 7 Thought he had a quiet game really but pretty faultless and took his pen well Nicholson 7.5 Did very well for the 1st goal and showed his classy touch on a couple of other occasions. Just wish he had the confidence to run at players more like he did for the first goal, he’s obviously good enough to do it but seemed to go for the easy option a few times last night instead
Collins 8 Absolutely ran his socks off up top and looked very dangerous as well. The only reason he wasn’t MOTM was because he didn’t put any of his chances away when in reality he could’ve had a hat trick. Love the look of this front 4 though
Anderton 6 Thought he started really well attacking down the left side but a bit all over the place defensively at the end Clarke 6.5 Won a couple of things in the air and took his goal well, didn’t touch the ball much other than that Pitman NOLE One things for certain, him and Clarke just can’t be on the pitch at the same time, it’s got to be one or the other as it was like playing with 9 at times towards the end last night
Ref 3 Thought he was pretty shocking really as was the linesman at our end. The amount of times they just looked at eachother cluelessly before guessing which way (and normally wrongly) was worrying for an official in the professional game Scunthorpe 3 As bad as the ref. With how far they are adrift and what we saw from them last night, I think they’re destined for non league barring a miracle

My mate is a Hereford fan and doesn’t get to many games but went to Farsley Celtic Today. He said Egan looked very solid at the back for them Today

Brilliant cross by Finley. Sky sports and flash scores saying he’s the one that scored but Twitter says Collins.
