If you find out who it is, can you ask him if there is a chance of a lift to the game for a fellow frome gashead whose motor has had a nasty bit of bad luck

Shows how committed he is to the belief that we are going places. Great news!!!!! Great player, true gas legend in the making.

I would have NOTHING written on the shirt. Wouldn't it be lovely to go back to the old days where you just had a football shirt in the club colours and it didn't become a walking sandwich board. Not only that but the replica shirts would be transferrable from year to year rather than the odd mixture of ex sponsors names that we now see tattooed over Gashead's chests at every game. The fans wouldn't have to buy a new shirt every year unless the club decided on a new design. It wouldn't be a particularly good thing for the club if the fans didn't have to buy a new shirt every year! Personally, I have always found that a really cynical way of trying to extract money from the fans (not a criticism of the Gas, but a general comment that applies across the whole of the football world).
On a specific note about our previous sponsors, I seem to remember one year when we were sponsored by a Waste Management Company - We did play rubbish that year, so it was kind of apt - but it didn't help that the S**theads rubbed it in though.

I am happy to wish the best for Hartlepool, but I think we also need to take one for the team and become closet Wycombe supporters for the next few games

I might get slated for saying this, but whenever Ellis Harrison is on the pitch, I get a feeling that he is a "yellow card waiting to happen". I don't know what his disciplinary record is like this season so I have got nothing to back this statement up - but that feeling is a very strong one.
For that reason I would start with Gaffney and would prefer Ellis to be used as an impact substitution. He can and has affected games really positively when being used like that. However, if he started I would be worried that he might get two yellows or even a red.
I have also been quite impressed with McBurnie - he seems to add another option, and I do like Easter, playing in that role just behind the front 2.
Isn't it great to have options up front.

I think he has lost a bit of confidence at the moment. That run of his in the first half was brilliant - but he delayed taking a shot and eventually got crowded out - A while ago he would have taken the shot without thought.
A goal will come shortly and will be a massive boost to him and everyone around him. I would keep him in the starting line up for his strength in coping with the battering he is getting from the Central defenders and the fact that he does make space for Taylor. I think Ellis makes a far better impact from the bench.

The most amazing stat of them all is that I am on the verge of beating my previous record of 17 "Memorial Ground Pasties" in a season. Only one pasty to go in this incredible season and I am predicting that I match my previous PB with a comfortable pasty against Crawley. I am looking at the BBC predictor ad I think that there is a chance that I could beat my own record with a slightly edgy pasty against Exeter. If that is achieved then who knows............ The pressure could be off and the D&R game on the last day of the season could become a Pasty Party !!!!! As predicted, I am pleased to report that, during the course of the Crawley game, I equalled my PB of 17 pasties in a season. It has to be said that it wasn't without it's difficulties - after being delayed at the Wellie before the game, I couldn't risk the pasty queue for fear of missing my lucky space on the east terrace. However, with devotion above and beyond the call of duty, I braved the half time melee at the pasty cabin and managed to scoff the entire thing just in time to resume my place for the beginning of the second half.
The correlation between my pasty consumption and our form is now fairly obvious - the turn around in the team's form in the second half was 100% down to my pasty exploits and we ran out 3-0 winners.
Yesterday was my surprise chance to set a new league 2 record with the opportunity of a beamback pasty - but imagine my horror when I arrived to find the pasty cabins closed. Good grief, a burger and cheesy chips is no replacement. No wonder we didn't win.
Bring on the Yeovil game.

It maybe my imagination but I am sure that, throughout the season, more than our fair share of games have been against clubs at the top of the form table. Once we beat them, they then seemed to have a dip in form and drop out of the rankings.
Eg Newport, Wimbledon, Luton, Orient.

I am not sure if I am correct in saying this - but I don't think that it is a "Bristol Rovers" website in the true sense of the word. I think that it is a generic website peddled to most of the lower league sides. It is almost identical in layout to a lot of other club's websites and it carries identical advertising from, I presume, a gamut of advertisers that sponsor the publication. They all have identical hyperlinks to the same "gas player".
Having said that, I guess that it is the responsibility of someone at the club to "personalise" the layout (club colours, badges, player profiles, statistics etc). I presume that someone is also responsible for updating the club news.
Personally, I don't like it. It has a very fussy and confused homepage and is extremely difficult to navigate. Indeed many of the navigation buttons don't even work. I no longer trust the online shop for purchasing either Bristol Rovers merchandise or Matchday tickets.
On a positive note, I do think that the main items of club news are kept up to date. However, The website experience is not good and it is certainly not my main go to place for information about the club.

Anyone else finding it difficult to concentrate on work ? Its doing my head in and im finding myself wishing my life away to see if we can do this. Please god i cant handle the stress playoffs and a trip to Wembley ! Can we do this ? Cant help but think with all the hype we are going to get a kick in the balls. I just want to go to sleep and wake up on 8th of May as a League 1 side In answer to your first question: A resounding YES!!!!
I hate to admit it but I have also been whiling away some of my time reading the forums of the other teams in the hunt for the autos. If it is any consolation, the Plymouth forum are in meltdown, arguing amongst themselves an even contemplating the thought of missing the playoffs altogether. The Oxford forum thinks that they will end up 3rd behind us. The Accrington forum are so surprised at their form this year that they are only just realising that they are in the race - They think that they will end up behind us in the end. The Portsmouth forum seem to be concentrating on the play-offs only.
Should I take another blood pressure tablet or go back to do some work? - Maybe that nice bottle of Captain Morgan's will help me decide.

It was me that said that Season Tickets for both of the Stands (East and West) are already sold out for next seaon. I was told that when I tried to buy one at the shop before the Crawley game. I have also tried to buy one online - but they are not available online either.
You are right in saying that they cannot yet release any existing Season Tickets until the end of the Renewal Period. But it does mean that all the currently spare seats have been sold. It is possible that a few will be released if current season ticket holders do not renew - I am not sure if there is a waiting list for this.
I guess that it will also mean that there will not be any stand seats available for "pay on the dayers" next season.

A few years ago, it was easy to get tickets for anywhere in the ground. Like some others on here I buy my tickets, usually over the phone with an arrangement that I picked them up at the matchday window because my post is not reliable. I did this game by game, because circumstances dictate that I can't get to every game. There was never a problem getting a ticket anywhere in the ground.
Going to watch the GAS wasn't as popular as it is now. I remember that for one evening game, I asked what time the match started and the response that I got from a lovely lady at the other end of the phone was "what time can I get there!!!!".
Times change and I am not sure that the infrastructure is coping too well with the recent increase in demand. You can't even buy tickets over the phone at the moment and the online experience isn't great. It is one thing that the management need to address for the future because there is a massive amount of confusion at the moment - I am even finding it really difficult to get beamback tickets at the moment having tried at the club shop at last weekends game and doing it online today.
Times have changed haven't they.

The beamback tickets were flying out from the club shop yesterday. Also, I tried to get a season ticket in either of the stands for next year. They are already sold out!!!! What do you mean? I meant that I couldn't buy a season ticket in either of the Dribuild Stand or the West Stand because the club had already sold out. I believe that they hold the seats open until May for existing ST holders to renew - so if there are any "non-renewers" then there will be some STs released at that time. BUT, at this time, I was told that there are no STs available in either of the stands - they are all sold out.
That causes another problem, in that ir also means that there will be no "pay on the day" seats in the Stands for next season either.

I really can't understand why people jumped to the conclusion that the OP was a Shed. I thought that it was quite a valid statement/question.
Personally I would go for alternate rectangular blocks of blue and white seats rather than alternate colours on individual seats. However, like the OP, I have seen stadiums with multi-coloured seats and it really is difficult to tell that the stadium may only be half full.
