I really don't care how the teds are doing. It flipping annoys me when people start putting their scores in the matchday thread. I'm half a world away. I don't look at how they're going at all. Ignorance is bliss.Fair enough mentioning other Conference scores, but mentioning the other lot should be a one week ban from the forum in my opinion. Ignorance isn't an option when you live in Bristol. We live & work amongst them. Btw, they drew 2-2. You make it sound like we are aliens!

Brunt hasn't scored a single goal in his last 29 appearances for Rovers dating back to 12th March 2013. He's also failed to score in 3 appearances for York. Okay quite a few of those appearances were as a sub but it's still 32 games without a goal! Not only has he not scored but his performances have been at best poor and more often awful.
We'd have more luck playing McChrystal up front! Don't forget he is coming back from a awful career threatening injury, I hope he regains his fitness and plays for us again, I just don't see it and as ggmi said he is on a high wage, maybe too high for the club at the mo.

The general standard has been absolutely dire. We've won and lost games at the hands of poor decisions from referees this season. Even though some decisions are bound to be points of contention, some of the decisions officials in this league have made are just so bizarre and wrong I cant work out how exactly they reach them. Its a sad day when one persons inability to control a game and poor decision making can cost so much for so many. They have literally ruined so many games. They said it would be bad but goodness me was that ever an understatement. I think I've seen one half decent performance from a ref so far. It really is amateur. As for this particular decision, it was probably the right one or at least a point of contention between yellow and red. The rest of the game though, that it another matter entirely. Who'd be a referee eh? I agree, the refs have been very substandard this season, to let the whole FGR team get away with so much but punish our players for less was unbelievable, Leadbitter was a yellow card not red (IMO), neither player pulled out of the challenge, because nearly all FGR's players surrounded the ref, Leadbitter was sent off. We thought the ref's in L2 were bad.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but why did the referee get changed at half-time on Saturday? Was he injured? Or did he just acknowledge that it would be better for both teams and the crowd if he didn't continue? He was substituted at half time for having such a shocking first half!

If only Balanta would come in and dazzle us, banging in a couple. Seen him at the game yesterday (at least I think it was him), looked trimmed down but then was in a suit. I seen him too and yes he was wearing a suit and did look a lot more trim, had his boots under his arm, which is a good sign.

Odd how he can play full 3 games for York but deemed unfit for us by DC in a lower division. Whilst I doubt Brunt's the answer to our goalscoring problems surely he can't be any worse than Cunnington was against a now ageing Coles? I have to agree with you, it does make you wonder, IMO Brunty's match sharpness was a issue for us and at this stage we are at we can't afford to carry him at the mo to get him match fit, so out on loan. Maybe he will get there but I don't see him playing for the gas again but I hope I'm wrong. The thing is with Cunny, he doesn't like to be roughed up and Coles is a pro at it, the Ref's at this level are not good enough to spot that, he could've got away with murder on Sat as he got away with everything else! I thought Parkin was just the type of player we need up front, very strong, good touch, knew exactly where his strike partner was and although he didn't score, he knows where the goal is.

Did you wave your red card? I wonder how people thought it went, after all the fuss beforehand. I held mine up dutifully. I noticed plenty of fans not bothering, but I guess that's life. The overall effect was powerful, I thought, with consistent red cover around the ground. They should've been blue not red

White was actually brought in as a 1st choice striker when fit, so he must be back to full fitness by now but needs game time to get match fit. He should be a 1 in 2 striker but needs that chance.

What with our strikers misfiring, how about giving Jamie White a run in the side? The next game is perfect opportunity to give him some game time.

We need a decent playmaker and a striker who knows where the back of the net is. I like Taylor but he has had his chance and has missed far too many.

Rumour control at the mem today says Danny N'Guesson. He may be a target but it can't be him, as he doesn't have a club does he? We've put a bid in for a striker and had it turned down.

The club are handing out red cards to the 1st 5k thru the turnstiles on Saturday, they really need to identify and ban that person at the Dartford game but it's just a PR exercise. As far the thread goes remove it.

When we were heading out the league BRSC made a very generous offer to fund a new striker. Does anyone know if they would be willing to do this now ?. We are a decent striker away from promotion in a vital season and i hope the offer will be made again. Failure to go up would result in huge financial cuts and perhaps a lengthy spell in non league. Just playing devils advocate but what chances were created on Saturday that suggest a new striker would have scored them.
Me thinks, as has been the case for years, that we do not have a midfielder who can create the chances.
I think some of the goals scored this season prove that if you give them service they will score. Our set play at times has been woeful and whereas we concede fair too many goals from corners we don't actually look like scoring from them.
Strikers need service
We do need a creative midfielder to supply some decent service to our forwards, maybe DC is looking to bring one in, he did say he was going to strengthen the side. Our set plays so far have been the best we have seen for a long time, we certainly look as tho we are doing some good work on the training ground.
