If it's true that the OP went with his dad back in the 60s he must be, well just about in his 60s, you'd think he'd be a bit more mature by now. Oh and if he thinks I'm being a coward and a keyboard warrior I would be perfectly happy to meet him sometime at a game and say it straight to his face! im 58 and you havnt been abusive, the others were abusive just because i have a different opinion to them. why do you think im immature? and do you just want to meet me face to face because you have worked out that im not young? Well I'm 50 so not exactly a spring chicken lol

Didn't DC say in his extended interview following Taylors transfer that it was HIS decision to allow Taylor to add the release clause? I do wonder about players who are already eyeing their next move when signing a contract - I'd have told him to * off to Oxford, give players who really want to be here a chance. It seemed to me from Clarke's interview that DC, Wael and SH had no control over the release clause being added to Taylor's contract, either there was a release clause or he would walk away. I would think the level of the release clause may well have been set by the player and his agent in this case as well as they probably thought they had us over a Bosman sized barrel.

'Historically, clubs have just taken the step up in their stride, with clubs like Stevenage, Crawley and most recently giants Bristol Rovers soaring to back to back promotions'
I love the non-league.

As well over half the teams in the league (61 out of 92) have played in the top flight and 47 have played in the Premiershite (Luton and Notts Cheaty were founding members but never actually played in the PL) there has to a decent chance of us getting there sometime. With the recent activity at the club I'm actually quite optimistic that we can. As for all the plastic fans and tourists etc I'm not sure we are going to be bothered by many of them, if you look at clubs like Bournemouth or Swansea or the like there doesn't seem to be much of that going on there so why would we get it, we're hardly a bigger name are we.

Trying to imagine how big 29 acres is and I don't know the site at all. Could the site also be used as a plan B for a certain stadium or is that just not possible? The average size of a football pitch is around 1.75 acres which is about 7100 square metres so the site is approximately the size of 16.5 football pitches or around 118,000 square metres if that helps.

He can't keep his nose out of what's going on that's his problem, which is OK when you know a bit about football but he clearly knows buggr all. He thinks because he was successful in one field it automatically means he will be in another. His ego has taken over, hopefully he'll keep wasting his money til he goes bankrupt the smug rosy faced twat.

I've noticed on the 'Other Sides' forum an increasing, grudging appreciation of what DC has done for us. They still mock him with the 'Dopey' bit but some recent posters have started to acknowledge his achievements. Now we know that he likes to have players to work with that he knows... And Leeds thought enough of him to make an offer he almost couldn't refuse........... And he doesn't live in Bristol................... Go away thoughts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone on here said he has a house down south, but rents a place in Longwell Green. Down south? How much further down south can you be?

After listening to DC it's pretty obvious that Ratface Midget's agent had tipped off C*ty about his release clause Hope he goes to prison and get arseraped in the showers everyday for the next 10 years You have to not consent for it to be rape.... Just saying.

Only 10 people want to see us go up and them get relegated?? Dafuq?? Yes, I did a double-take too! I think people are over-thinking this poll Yeah I think I should have made my meaning clearer, I meant what did people want in there heart of hearts not what they think is best for us. I was torn between derby in the Championship and no derby cos we went up and they got relegated.

We did that first half v Chelsea not that that game is a good example of whether it would work or not v league 2 opposition. I think it could work if we used Gafney or Harrison at centre forward and Bodin and Taylor as the wide men both cutting inside to shoot with our fullbacks overlapping on the outside of them and then Clarke lines and Sinclair keeping things secure in the middle. I think it would be better than 3-5-2 or the diamond. Might not work against League 2 opposition but might work quite well against League 1 opponents.........

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in the original post, maybe people have read 'would like to see' as 'expect to see'. Although, to be honest, I do think 'Do you want there to be a Bristol Derby' is pretty unequivocal'

This a trick question? I want a derby in the championship as well as I want us to sign a few seasoned pros with championship experience before going on an unbeaten run to win league one. Whether I expect that to happen is another question. You and me both mate but it seems that the majority of people want exactly the opposite, no Derby with the Teds and us to stay in League One, so to answer your question, no it's not a trick question. For the record I don't expect it to happen either, but then that was not the question.

There has been plenty of discussion over wiil we be promoted, will them over the river get relegated, did we want to be promoted or is it too early, some people seem to want them relegated more than for us to be promoted so how would people like to see us in relation to our six fingered friends next season as all scenarios are currently a real possibility.

Too many people seem to forget that if we were to be promoted this season we would achieve something never done in the higher echelons of English football, three promotions in three years.

Someone has seen him in Tesco's in Norfolk recently. We have Tesco's in Bristol. Surely can't be just a coincidence ? Why would a man who lives in South Suffolk be shopping in a Tesco in Norfolk that makes no sense, he definitely isn't coming here.
