So 11 games to go this season and we're sitting pretty in 11th place with 48 points, passing unbeaten through a February in which I predicted we would be mullered regularly. 74 points is the average number of points needed over the last decade to get into the last play-off space in league one. I don't think for a minute we'll do it but let's examine the run-in as I see it: Oxford (A) - Draw Southend (H) - Draw Bury (A) - Win Chesterfield (H) - Win Coventry (A) - Win Shrewsbury (H) - Win Wimbledon (A) - Draw Gillingham (A) - Win Oldham (H) - Win Peterborough (A) - Lose Millwall (H) - Lose That puts us on 69 points, just shy of what we'll probably need (although enough for Chesterfield to sneak it in 2014/15). Anyone fancy us improving on my predictions and making a late charge with this new striker we're apparently getting? Groundbreaking and all that. Think we'll do well to get anything out of Oxford, but think we could get more out of the last 2 games, I think we might just squeak 70 or so points not sure that'll be enough for the playoffs.

Think we will beat Southend and get at least something v Peterborough and Millwall at home. Just so wish it wasn't Millwall we were playing in the last game especially if it came down to a last day scenario as I'm sure it will be all ticket and less likely to be a family celebration occasion but more likely a highly charged police presence situation because our visitors are in town. Shame really after the previous 2 last day occasions. I'd been looking forward to the scenes when we deny Millwall a playoff place on the last day all season but after they tonked us at theirs I can't see past a rooting. I think our defence is a lot more resolute than when we last played Millwall plus we're at home so I don't think we'll get tonked.

I have to say I thought Hoskins was great when he was here last time, great attitude in a team that has lost its way, that was a good few years ago though and wasn't he a bit injury prone even then? Could be just what we need if fit though. If we can't sign Lumley, can we get Mikkel Andersen back too?? Didn't he struggle at Exeter or somewhere last?? Don't think he's no where near the player he was. You're probably right, like I said, it was a good few years back and I can't say I really followed his career much after he left. In his prime he would be exactly the kind of player who could push us into the playoffs though. We've had a really hard patch of games, on paper (I'm cringing even as I write this) the remaining games are in the main more winnable.

According to his Twitter page he lives in Nottingham and Bristol...if he has a place in Bristol then this might increase the possibility that it's Hoskins. If he's fit and relatively injury free at the moment then would be a good option for the rest of the season. Yep I agree. Couldn't believe their rugger buggers beat Bath so could get out of it - come on Worcester and can see the midget actually keeping them up mainly because of other teams poor results than his own ability to get wins. Burton beating them Saturday I think is on par to the joy they had when the mighty Accrington Stanley were above us in L2. Saturday at 17:00 could set up a fab weekend with us getting a hard won victory at Oxford - Bring it on. Have to say I watched Oxford V Luton last night and at times they look pretty decent, albeit against a L2 team, but away, but they did let Luton back into it. Cracking goal for the winner though.

I reckon we will probably end up with between 5 and 7 points from the six games, there's a chance we'll be unbeaten the whole month which would be a good achievement but only get 6 points, probably a bit of a disappointment. BURN THE WITCH!! I could, of course, tell you what I know of the UWE.......

Found the 'soulless' comment a bit odd. Yeah the Mem is not exactly luxurious but a ground with nearly 9,000 packed into an 11,000 capacity with loads of terracing and a number of different stands is the opposite of my idea of soulless (see Sixfields, the New Meadow, Adams Park etc for that). But I guess we all have different opinions. Many reviews of the Mem quite like the odd layout and old school atmosphere. I don't think any of them would want it as their home stadium though. Probably true but then they do probably get the worst conditions, maybe if the were in the main stand or the Blackthorn they might quite like it. Don't get me wrong, I know the Mem is pretty poor in terms of the facilities, but soulless just doesn't come to mind when I think of the Mem.

Did pretty much everything we could have expected of him, seemed to understand his position in the pecking order and acted in a professional manner. Always thought he was just a bit too short to be a really top notch keeper but otherwise reasonably competent. Hope he continues to make a decent living in football but I think league One might be a level to high for him.

I can see the future. Next season we are top of League 1 at Christmas with our new improved squad. DC is poached by Wolves. Holloway is sacked by QPR since they sit in 19th place in the Championship. Wael wants a seasoned manager who understands the club and has experience at a higher level, preferably even Premier League. I'm not entirely convinced I like your vision of the future...

I wonder what all the other clubs think of the mem? Let's be honest it's got to be one of the worst facility wise for away supporters although the Sheffield Utd fans were surprisingly complimentary about us! I'm going to the Kassam next weekend yes sh** ground but always a tremendous atmosphere when the gas are in town. www.iron-bru.co.uk/forums/topic/ground-2/Don't think the Scunthorpe fans were too impressed... A ground that impressed me was Bradford's Valley Parade. I went there twice pre 1985 (the awful fire). What they have done to the ground and the way its been built is amazing. Was good atmosphere too and the pubs on the main road were friendly. I was sorry not to get to Valley Parade, looks like it would have a really great atmosphere.

We totally love Ollie so he is getting a bit of breathing space at the moment which other managers ain't got in the past. I think that's still the case with most of us, but as A F says, there are a number of gasheads who would have serious reservations about Ollie coming back here.

What grounds that you have visited this season have you liked/disliked and what makes it good? My favourite has been Fleetwood. Friendly people, tidy little ground. Well organised clubhouse. £1.50 for sausage and chip overs the road. Good team as well to be fair. Liked the fact the tram was literally outside too. Stamford Bridge was a little disappointing as I was sat under the roof which was leaking, I liked the ground other than that to be fair but just surprised me with all their millions that they wouldn't repair something so little. Northampton is probably the weirdest I have visited, felt ripped off as could have watched it on the hill and it was just a weird ground. Yeah Sixfields has got to be one of my least favourite grounds too, soulless hole, but then it's in Northampton and the only good thing to come out of there is the A428! I've got a bit of a soft spot for Spottlands, nice, neat, unassuming, easy to park and get a beer right at the ground. Weirdest for me is Port Vale, huge and for no apparent reason, and that stand to our right that they just seem to have forgotten to finish half way through. Not to mention the huge Police presence for a crowd of 5,000.

Anyone staying at White's, the Stadium hotel be prepared for the price of bar drinks. Allegedly, £19 for two vodka's and coke. Don't tell me... It's £9.50 for 1? 😂 No you have to buy them in pairs apparently.
