Have to say this has been one of the funniest threads I've read in a while! I suppose all you can do is laugh as our tent city expands. I just hope security is tight next season as the damage just one hooligan and a stanly knife could do to our ground is pretty scary. And a season or two ago a stray shot took a drainpipe out and almost clonked some away fans. You could take the south stand apart with a Stanley knife and a few footballs😀

Makes no bloody difference who we play, we never win, so on that front it will be accy away. Too right - get Accy out the way for the first game and kill two birds with one stone. Actually, looking forward to a weekend away to Accrington - taking a relative who started their first job there so wants to look around for old times sake.

The thrown-ins. I am sure Darrell has the stats at his fingertips and will tell me I’m wrong but I feel like our winning a throw in isn’t an advantage. The thrower always seems to have a lack of options and we get turned over quickly.

Bennett did a great job of nicking the ball off their midfield, especially in the first half, and seemed to win the second balls as well. Not bad for a “lightweight”as he was dubbed by many in his first appearance or two.

Just reading his autobiography on the recommendation of others on here. Interesting read and you can see how he can help the young players benefit from his experiences. Interview from today was the first I have seen but has the sound and feel of someone who would be a decent successor to Darrell, God forbid he ever leaves.

It can’t be that hard to find and ban some of the middle-aged idiots who cause most of the aggro - it’s usually the same 15-20 overweight watered buffoons. If they’re not goading the opposition, it’s the stewards, and if not them they’re picking on other gasheads. They don’t even watch the game. They’re the reason we get searched before certain games and it wateres me off. From a grumpy middle aged idiot who just wants to watch the game...

Always a bit lacklustre from our fans at Wimbledon as we are spread out with no nucleus of vocal supporters to get things going. I can’t remember a goodnight Irene but I can’t remember most of the 90 minutes either. Bet they are scratching their heads at the ifollow studios trying to work out how to get 10 minutes of extended highlights out of that.

Kyle Bennett moaned at relentlessly by the bloke behind me for being too lightweight, scared of tackles etc. Get him off, bring on Gaffney etc. Watching the highlights KB instrumental in both goals and came closer to scoring on another than I realised. Thank God we have DC and not a panel of supporters running the team.

Ellis seems to stay on his feet more now - always used to be falling on his arse at the slightest touch - now other teams complain about him barging into their defenders. DIfferent player this season. Remember when he went on loan to Hartlepool?

Happiest and relaxed Darrell has been for a while. Surprised how often the wage cap was mentioned as a limit to recruitment NOT signing fees. This is a new and probably deliberate message. I think his sideboard got a few dents in at 8-30 last night though!

There’s always one.... Just saying as I have previously had amicable conversations with gas fans. No need to get into a pickle bud. No stirring here. There is always one, and look, it's you, matey. You just said we've been cheated. That's stirring. We don't need people from other teams coming here with half-arsed rumours that they don't know whether are true or not, we manage that just fine amongst ourselves. We don't need people from other teams coming here to imply our board can't run a business, we manage that just fine amongst ourselves. We don't need people from other teams coming here and getting self-righteous and emotive about the way football works, we manage that just fine amongst ourselves. First laugh I've had since the transfer window opened, thanks Fargas!

Agree with the sentiments above, thanks for the memories, good luck etc. However, that Colony announcement at 7 in the evening really takes the water though. Despite what most of you think of one another we are not that stupid on here. The ******* communication though is half-arsed and ill thought through and we don't need soft soaping just honesty.
If Big Jock has a gif of a topless Hamer typing the Colony press release with one finger whilst watching the clock tick down to the Bodin announcement please don't share but the image will tell you where we are with communication at this club.

Omg are people actually even entertaining the idea? Lol! Genuinely wish him all the worst and never want to see his face again. 23 other championship clubs to choose from and if he had any sense of loyalty to us for what we went through together then he would have not gone there surely regardless of money or whatever. Absolute lady garden! Why is there an expectancy of loyalty by football fans? Clubs are not loyal to players and players are not loyal to clubs. Like it or not clubs are businesses and players are carrying out a job trying to achieve on the field and earn as much as they can in a short career. Agree Eric but he could he have asked his agent to leak the release clause to any one of 23 other teams. Looking after yourself and showing some loyalty wouldn't have been terribly difficult under the circumstances.

IMO DS has underestimated the feeling of the fan base over the UWE situation. I think they also underestimated DC reaction & if he can get us comfortable in mid table, he will be off. Whether the UWE was right or wrong for the long term of the football club isn't really the issue for me. It seems obvious that DS looked at taking over the club, at what they deemed a bargain price, with the intention of building UWE, but on their terms only & as bankers they would have to fulfil their obligation to their investors first & foremost, they were either arrogant in believing it wouldn't be an issue or very naive, believing that as UWE also wanted the stadium they would bend over backwards to accommodate their wishes. When UWE wouldn't bend then the investors pulled out. As everything from building the Colony to investing in the team, seems to have all been reliant on UWE, coupled with the fact there has been no back up plan whatsoever, then I would like to think they have been naive & underestimated the situation ( despite all the so called expertise they brought on board ) SH - he just seems a mouthpiece & doesn't seem to have much idea of what is going on & makes things worse by his irritating comments such as landing lights on, likening us to the crazy gang, then last week using the Chelsea/Abramovich scenario to explain lack of comms, he even said last week that no one was more disappointed than him over the collapse of UWE-Really? As he apparently doesn't communicate with DC either, he should resign. They have chosen to buy our football club, I feel for Wael, as I really think he has become a fan, but the rest have no interest in football, hence I don't think they are in it for the long run - could Wael raise the investment on his own or could someone join in with him? Who knows but we cannot continue to lose money at the rate we are for too much longer, whist standing still on the infrastructure needed to support it Summarises exactly how I see it. The one thing that might save our arses is that Wael has blown off so much in his region about owning a football club, selling the stadium from under us to recoup losses would be too much of a loss of face for the wider family.

Would have bought a whole kid's away kit for Christmas but no shorts available so didn't buy any of it. I can understand why it's hard to stock the right ratio of shorts and shirts but socks and shorts? Who buys socks and not shorts?

Car crash interview. Clear a lot of the rumours on here are true and the family don’t want to spend any money.

So who do you fancy in the draw tomorrow? Folkestone Invicta, Shaw Lane Association (really!), Heybridge Swifts? Or a nice homely tie against Paulton Rovers? Given our track record against lower league opposition in the FA Cup, Bradford or Shrewsbury might be a better bet.

Peter Hartley to Motherwell for rest of season. Scottish Premiership - League 1 standard or thereabouts apart from the top one or two teams?
