I thought it was impossible to get a seat in the East stand anyway? It'll have to be a tent.

To be fair it can be a nightmare taking young kids to games especially what we saw today - mine said "this is boring", and then "I only come because you make me". Could have had the hot chocolate with a flake as far as I am concerned!

I have an overseas subscription - can't see the full match video of the Charlton game we were promised, just the short 2 minute highlights and the 10 minute highlights. Anyone else?

Is Ollie N still with Guislely? What's happened to Nathan B at Torquay?

I enjoy Steve K's reviews even if I don't agree with everything - they usually come close to what I saw and so are a useful read for the games I don't see. Please keep it up Steve. Thank you.

I thought Partington was good the last time I saw him have a proper runout against Sheffield Utd. Then he got injured and Leads got fit. Think he is working his way back and we might see more of him now the playoffs are a remote possibility.

I usually say it "evens out" as well and there are ifs and buts. However, feels different if it's the team that beat you to the playoffs with a penalty the referee admitted he shouldn't have given. Football thrives on grievances though so would be a happy contribution to the pointless merry-go-round of being a football fan. Anyway, is it just me but there don't seem to be any penalties in our games any more? Can't remember one since Southend although someone will point one out, no doubt.

Tragic if the 2 points we lost away at Southend (and the point they gained) due to the dodgy penalty they were given comes back to bite us.

Ollie went through this - 1st minute of the interview helps sum up how far he and the team have come.
Imagine how much our relegation winning team would be enhanced by the Ollie we have now.

Looked like Bodin was about to snatch the ball but in the end shielded the ball so Sincs could get the shot away.

Family saver ticket, one adult and one under 16 is £280. This season of course. Excellent value. That's what I paid for me n the nipper bear in mind it's £25 for two tickets for walk ups it's v good value good view apart from one annoying pillar! and plenty of atmosphere coming from the blackthorn end One annoying pillar? Went in there once with my son and there was one annoying old biddy who was determined no one was going to stand in front of her. Most unfriendly part of the ground I've been in!

That is the official version of Darrell's wink. Can't believe that was sanctioned by the other lot if there wasn't something in it...

Aren't clubs like Tottenham and Southampton massive exceptions to this? (I don't know, I don't have an interest in Prem football until we get there!) Like you I don't take an interest in Prem football, it seems so remote and different to the game I enjoy. I remember reading an article about Brentford shutting their academy last year in The Times. There were tears and outrage from parents at their children's thwarted dreams but Brentford argued in was costing them £4m a year (from memory) to run the academy - and it looked great, one of those aircraft hangers with Astro and God knows what else outside - and yet they'd only found one player in 10 years who made it. It might be because of the local competition from the London clubs. Despite our ambition to be level 2 I doubt it we'd have facilities or expenses to match what Brentford spent and our catchment area is arguably less competitive despite the lower population. The Times also ran an article around the same time about the number of professional football players from different parts of the country per 100,000 of population. Liverpool had the most and Cornwall the least - largely put down to remoteness and lack of access to facilities of professional clubs.

Realised I saw him play for Kilmarnock away at Berwick Rangers in the Scottish League Cup back in July. Kilmarnock came behind from 2-0 down to win 3-2 avoiding an upset. Didn't notice our new man at the time but thought Kilmarnock were playing League 2 standard football at best. Kilmarnock fans West terrace standard. The records shows J Burn got a yellow card.
Apologies to anyone who read the first line and thought they might get a useful insight...

I saw him after the away game at Southend after the JP Cup game in 2015. He was hobbling to be coach and I asked if he was injured - no, it was because he'd run so much in the game. Unfair of people to accuse him of milking it, riding on coat tails etc. - nice guy, worked hard and helped get us out the Conference.

Just back.Awful.Their keeper had not one shot to save.We lacked fluency and offered very little quality. No wingers,Gaffers playing out wide constantly,The beard running around but achieving little.Shrews much better with their passing than us and panic stations at the back with Puddy making a right mess to gift their first goal.Pen not intentional handball but Shrews well worth their win. Can't mark anyone as it would be 4's all round and both MT and BB plus Colkett not at the races at all. Several middle aged supporters just behind the goal,to the left were the worse for drink and gave the stewards a hard time.Came late, left early and had the attention span of 3 year olds.several people moved away.Behaviour left a lot to be desired when a full scale slanging match broke out. Gaffers,Hartley and Ellis worked tirelessly but the overall lack of quality a real concern. Ref very fit, very good and sent their manager off for kicking the ball away from Gaffers.Big following, sadly angry at the end but with their keeper having nothing to do,perhaps our fans had every justification to vent their frustration. Re: The middle aged supporters. It's the same for any busy away game. 15-20 of them turn up late the worse for drink and expect to sit together and then spend the rest of the game squabbling with the stewards or swearing and gesturing at the opposition fans. Barely watch any of the game but feel entitled to abuse the team. Embarassing.

Can anyone remember the player who teased us on Twitter pre-conference season? he was driving down the M4 or M5 saying he was going to sign for a club leading some to believe it was us. Then signed for FGR or Eastleigh or some such and had a giggle at our expense.

I think Hamer needs to come out and say something soon. Something is obviously up. We were supposed to break ground last month... Forgot about Hamer. Is he still here?
