I've got my face in my hands after seeing this.
Just realised I could have watched the the Sky highlights for the last 2 months without waiting up until 10pm to see Channel 5's shitheap of a show. The ad breaks, the crunching guitar noise thing they play at the start of each segment, the "what's it like to score a goal?" questions. Virgo creeping me out.
Was at the game today realised I didn't see half it - especially the action a the other end. Mansfield fans accusing our team of gamesmanship but they basically got Easter sent off. Although that dive is embarrassing....

I live an hour and a quarter from Cambridge and this is a pain in the ****. Friday night traffic around Cambridge and M25 means leaving work in London the middle of the afternoon to get home first and then drive to the game. Whinge, whinge, moan moan..Sympathise with Stockholm Gas though.

I guess psychologically if he cements his goal scoring confidence/reputation at Conference level he will be more ready to withstand subsequent set backs. I'd speculate the DC is building Lucas up to use later in the season when injury strikes or someone goes stale? Borehamwood have gone full time this season so Lucas will be busy.

Only seen the highlights but saw Lines duck two tackles which provided opportunities for Wycombe. What does Darryl say to him when they go through the video together?
Thought I saw Montano being persistent (although unsuccessful) in trying to retrieve the ball from the opposition winger which belied the impression I had of his style.

Sounds like he was Wilder's MOTM in their win against Wiccum today. Fan's comment is that he should be off the transfer list or it will be difficult manage him. Not sure it could be any harder. Won them 4 points this season (didn't he have a similarly good stat with us?)
I know it is probably time to let go of JJOT but it is fascinating seeing how another club deals with the JJOT challenge.

When to go to your first match - thought this was interesting reading. My 6 yr old is the only one wearing a Rover's shirt at the Saturday morning football in The Home Counties surrounded by Barcelona, Chelsea, Arse and Liverpool shirts, although when he falls over and acts the clown no one is surprised (is he fulfilling his genetic destiny or have I inflicted this on him with a shirt?) One lad wearing MK Dons, although took me a while to work out what it was and even then not sure how I feel. Haven't taken the boy to see Rovers yet, 10 minutes of highlights on the inter web are enough (why is that man dressed as a Monkey? (Hartlepool) - "oh, we've got a Pirate that's better than that"). Intrigued by proper adults (sic) playing in the same shirt as him and that Bristol is where he goes to see his Grandparents. Not sure when to take the plunge but the tips above are helpful. Nick Day a great idea - could save him from being a Chelsea fan, peer pressure and all that.

At Orient one of the club officials said "welcome back to the League" at the turnstiles. Too right, I still feel like a drowning man clinging to the League 2 life raft, never again. Looking at Grimsby's position you've got to feel sorry for their fans. Hope they go back up soon. Halifax are in a terrible way as well - been out of the league for a long time as well. Like them if only because of the away day video some of their fans posted after they attended our Wembley play-off, very funny (and they supported us as well).

Woke up the other morning laughing as I'd dreamt the first two lines of a Rover's version to the chorus of Three Lions: "Chris Lines in our shirt, Mansell's teeth still gleaming" (not without reason as he does have nice teeth).
I'll excuse myself on the basis it's been a funny few weeks.

Braintree away. Open terrace, dull atmosphere, weird behaviour (both from the referee and our fans). Long trek home for some families. Would Darryl be fired on Monday? Best Macclesfield at home. Felt we could achieve anything from then on. Second best Nuneaton away. Really good banter on the terrace, good result, start of a brand new year. Cold mind. Remember one of ours shouting to (part-time) Nuneaton players "you've got work in the morning". Then other gashead starting to pipe-up from different parts of the terrace "I've got work in the morning"....

Thanks for reminding us of the youngsters - do we know if any picked up contracts elsewhere?

You can't only judge him on just whether he saved or not. Maybe Pittman missed because Mildy's positioning, body language, size put him off. Perhaps Mildy's hand to a previous penalty chipped his confidence. We'll never know whether Puddy would have done better or worse. If it is Mildy's last game for Rovers, what a way to end.

Good news! It looks like drums are banned at Wembley. Now I can focus on worrying about Sunday.
"The following articles must not be brought within the Ground: knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety.
Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Ground.
Any article that might be used as a weapon, be deemed to be offensive or abusive, or compromise public safety, will be confiscated and or reported to the police.
Unlicensed musical instruments: trumpets, drums and other devices capable of causing a disturbance or nuisance."
