also the "premier league" loans are younger players who wont actually be on premier league wages Was told that Colkett was on £15k a week. Didn't believe it at first, but it is Chelsea and he is supposed to be a starlet; and if the likes of Ozil can get £200k then it might be true.

I thought Gosling looked sharp. No sign of the Italian 'keeper....apparently he's gone. Broom, Lyttle, Greenslade, Hodges? and Hedges? also played. First goal scrappy, second a penalty by Lawrence. James and Moore subbed after about an hour.

(In the Times their L1 team of the day has Lockyer, O.Clarke and Harrison in it.)

[br Not necessarily for me I am afraid. Liking them, remembering their exploits on the pitch doesn't mean anything when it comes to running a club. Would I want them to be the best candidates? Yes. Would I want them as part of a team if they weren't ? Yes. I just don't think they are necessarily the best choice if Clarke left, and I am not sure if they would even say so, but I like to think Marcus could do it with a DOF type Marcus or Steve might not even want it. I like being a senior exec in my company but if I was offered the big chair I would turn it down - less pressure, less BS to peddle.... For me that has nothing to do really with why I want them. Yes it is good they have a history with the club and understand the club but also the continuity that comes with it, let's not forget they have both played their part in our recent success. They may not work in management but I have learned over time that no manager is guaranteed to do well, no matter how good the appointment looks on paper. Chris Hargreaves seems to have a high profile at the club. Always on the pitch pre-match. My guess is that if DC left CH would take over, perhaps with SY staying and MS taking over at Exeter, with Paul Tisdale 'moving upstairs'.

Is it any wonder that Charlton came on strong to us in the second half? Our midfield played the full 90 minutes and consisted of Moore(28) Lawrence(35) Mansell(34) Sinclair(29) Moore has flair but is inconsistent; Sinclair runs around a lot and is bound to tire as the match goes on. The defence may have made the final errors, but that midfield was just wrong!

I am surprised no one has mentioned Will Puddys brilliant save second half, full stretch to his left. That shot was hit with pace and had goal written all over it! he had no chance with their goal, a calamity piece of defending with four Rovers shirts marking one player and the ball still ends up in the net!
Particularly agree with this. Looking at body language I actually think our players like having him between the sticks. Perhaps they have a little more trust in him than we do.

That was surprisingly easier, perhaps Wael's team do know what they are doing after all! Yes, but why isn't Wael, and other random members of the Rovers organisation, tweeting stuff about it several times a day? As a Gashead and internet user, I demand they make loads of half-arsed ambiguous tweets possibly alluding to this situation in order to fill up the long hours between losses matches. Was a time when you couldn't turn on local radio or TV without seeing Steve Hamer...he was here, there and everywhere! Now he wears an invisibility cloak!

I'm not a great fan of JC but to be fair to him he was totally exposed yesterday and had no-one in front of him to clear the ball to. I was sitting behind the RB position yesterday during the first half and time after time there was no midfielder in front of him. The only outlet was usually Gaffney who had wandered over to that side. The whole midfield (4?) were playing centrally or over on the left. That's not true as Sincs was covering the right side for the first 30 mins then he swapped with Ollie C, which seemed a bit odd as we then had a right footer on the left and a left footer on the right but I guess it worked as we didn't concede another goal. We seemed to lose our way again when BB came on to replace Sincs and seemed to play at RWB. Only saying what I saw and what those around me commented upon.
